Payant, the Kaduna-based Startup has Processed over N1 Billion

Actually, over N1.5 Billion.

Some of you may be wondering what Payant is and why you should care? Well, if you’re interested in technology and quite frankly we all should, then Payant should interest us.

When it comes to technology, Kaduna and Northern Nigeria as a whole does not draw a lot of attention however, it seems with time, that will change. Over the past year I have met very skilled people and tech-based businesses that are really impressive and actually profitable. We’ll share their stories in due time.

So what actually is Payant? Payant is an online payments platform which makes it possible to receive funds from any part of the world.

The company launched in January 2017 and since then has processed over N1.5 billion in just less than 2 years. That is HUGE. Founded by Aminu Bakori, a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University and Kabir Shittu, a former banker they have been working from Kaduna and Zaria.

Over the next couple of months, they plan to add USSD payments and open up a school fees collection portal.

Payant has also launched a new product, DOT, which will solve all your banking issues and more. I’m still looking at it and will share with you my thoughts on it. In the meantime, I love it.

If you don’t have a PAYANT account, you can open one account here.
